Making it all worth while.

After a great day last Sunday teaching Ken it was nice to receive an email from him and best of all it seems like we have another fly fisher to add to the ranks!…………

“Hi Neil, just a line to say thanks for your time and instruction at Burton Springs lakes recently. Whist I realise that I did not reach a particularly good standard of ability, I thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

I have today visited Cadbury Angling at Congresbury and Toby was as good as ever. I purchased a Wychwood truefly SLA 9’6” #6 rod, a Greys GX500 reel, which Toby assured me was balanced with the rod and spent almost thirty pounds on a good line. Super Dri WF 6F.

I think I have everything balanced. If you’ve any thoughts I’d be very glad to hear them.

I shall practice whenever I can in our local park, and kit myself out with a net like yours and a waistcoat type jacket, flies etc when I feel I am able to go fishing without totally embarrassing myself .

It was a pleasure to meet you, and I will most probably attend on Sunday 13th April next year. I’ll get the festive season out of the way and send you a cheque in the new year.

Have a good Christmas Neil, hope you and your family have a great time.
Cheers aye, Ken”
